raven sits and waits
guide through the unseen places
as the seasons turn
rain drops ripple out…
kissing this dry, thirsty land
between sun and moon
remnants still remain
clues to unlock mysteries
asking why we’re here
crown of green skyward
roots run deep within the ground
guardians of earth
inside looking out
a threshold of becoming
the trees hold it all
slowing down to see
we have more friends than we know
beauty in their gaze
I opened the door
this morning
to a wet world…
even with the cracks
some beauty finds its way through
pause to let it in
pink ladies singing
of summer into the fall
come join this chorus
the last light of day
slips into the twilight west
roses beckoning
a purple dance floor
where bees twirl in full delight
waltz of the ages
root me to this earth
arms spread wide into the sky
opening to life
drop of gold nectar
this gift of the apple tree
wound healing for all
the waning moon sits
watching glorious colored wings
dance through the blue sky
moving through the air
like swimming in deep water
the sweet sound of flight
anniversaries
come and go like the sea’s tide
sand sifting through time
star stone in a cup
the heavens share their beauty
take a sip to heart
unzip this beauty
like these ants busy at work
blooming where you are
come into the wild
amongst city concrete blocks
life will find a way
sleeping tree spirit
dreaming of the world made whole
waking makes it true
