Tiny dots, lines, and swirls,
traditions of India
join our hands in love…

Last night
I had the wonderful experience
of coming together with the family and friends
for the mehndi wedding party for a dear friend of mine
that I've known since she was a little girl.

Juliana and Sameer's wedding
will be this Saturday
and it will be my first Indian wedding celebration.

We had the extraordinary
artist Yogita Sheth

of Yogi's Henna
paint our hands
and we all watched in awe as she painted
Juliana's hands, forearms, and feet...

Each dot, each line,
each swirl joins us all in holding
and celebrating this
marriage...

Sending this couple off into the world
with all our love
and blessings...
