Haiku My Heart ~ Fruit

Small piece of heaven
growing from the earth, tiny root,
branches now spread wide.

This is my new fuyu persimmon tree
growing at the edge of my wild garden.
I am so excited to have it grace my yard
and was doubly excited to find that it even has its first crop of fruit,
tiny, tight green orbs that will turn bright orange
and begin to ripen at the turning of the days of Fall into Winter...
